Finally!
I was at the electronics shop this afternoon and Mr. Tan gave me a very nice surprise; the PCB vendor has successfully reproduced my design without any problems. Yes, the boards have arrived and they are ahead of schedule by more than a week!
Testing the Production Board
However, we're still not out of the woods yet. Although the PCB looks perfect, I cannot confirm until I populate the board. This is also a good way of testing if there are any real problems with my design eventhough the prototype has passed.

I have anticipated this moment and so, I will now change the tip of my soldering iron to a sharper tip. This is very crucial when I need to solder the 0603 LEDs |
I have also
changed the solder lead from 1.0mm to 0.5mm. Although finer
solder will melt prematurely, they will be very important
when I start soldering. I have also invested in some
soldering paste flux as they will help a lot.

What a sigh of relief! The PCB still fits into the Raider's head with no problem but you might want to file some corners and the 3mm hole as well. The PCB vendor's quality is really quite good. |

After soldering the 0603 LEDs, I tried the PCB again. Phew! Its A-OK! |

|
|
It took me 4 hours to solder three boards as I need to test and retest every step of the way. And when I covered the model's head, its still able to close without any problems! |

Three boards in four hours!. And so, there are too many boards to be shared by the both of us. Guess what we're going to do, Hmm? |

Yes, we're going to sell them. You can now get
them from the following places: |
